A nose cone is one of the first items to add to your Desert Wolf
basic trailers. Several options are available, but when you have no
need for a fridge in the nose, a handy cooler box is a good option The nose cone is manufactured from grade 304 non magnetic stainless steel and has one large top door, supported by a gas strut to keep it open while you work. The nose cone has a standard drain tap and valve. Optional insulation can be added. During this process a stainless steel liner is inserted into the box and its lid, and the space between the box and the liner is filled with insulating foam. The result is an excellent cool box, with drain valve. This is ideal when you want to keep beer or soft drinks cold using ice. The top-loading nose cone is shorter than the side loading nose cone, with the implication that some space on the trailer A-frame is wasted with the nose cone. If you need the additional space, the top-loading nose cone can be mounted more forward, and the space between the nose cone and the trailer load bin are utilized by the in-between box with its side doors.
